The Columbus Civic Theater's Radio Play Podcast of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby

Adapted and Directed by Richard Albert

The Columbus Civic Theater has created a radio play based on the great American novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby. An adaptation of the work as a radio play has been divided into four parts. The recording, which has been funded by the Civic’s donors and the Greater Columbus Arts Council, the Columbus City Council, and Mayor Ginther, is free to all.

With a firm foundation in the original work, the radio play uses our favorite performers from previous productions, sound effects, and music. Narrated by Joe Lusher (MacBeth, MacBeth), the recording features over a dozen actors in different roles.

In June of 2020, due to CoVid restrictions, the Columbus Civic Theater was forced to close its theater located in Clintonville. After 11 years and 94 productions, the non-profit is searching for a new home and a capital fundraiser has been set up. Click the link above to find out more about our cause.
